Egypt Adds a New Statue to its Collection

Egypt has just completed the restoration of a 57-piece statue of the great Ramses II, first discovered between 1958 and 1960. This granite tribute weighs in at a whopping 75 tons and measures 11 meters tall. The statue was presented on the 18th of April, 2017 in a ceremony at Luxor Temple hours after the unveiling of a 3,000-year-old tomb. The number of Egypt’s recent archeological exposés has grown tremendously, with world renowned Egyptologists and archeologists working around the clock to fill in the gaps of history.
