The Rommel Cave Museum

After a 7-year renovation plan costing EGP 2.5 million, the Rommel Cave Museum in Marsa Matrouh has finally been reopened. One of the many beautiful natural formations in Marsa Matrouh, these caves were used by German leader, Erwin Rommel, as his headquarters while conducting the North African wars during World War II. Primary school students and people over 60 are allowed to visit the museum for free.
